Looking for some inspiration? Check out these 18 awesome Jimdo website examples. Jimdo may not have all the bells and whistles of bigger builders like Shopify or Squarespace, but it’s a great choice for portfolios and small online stores.

Jimdo is an easy-to-use website builder that helps you create clean and effective sites without much hassle.

Most Jimdo users come from places like Germany, Japan, and Switzerland, so you’ll see some non-English examples here. But don’t worry—the focus is on design elements like color, layout, ease of use, and typography, which speak a universal language.

1. Living Ginger Designs

The first Jimdo-built website comes from Living Ginger Designs. This is a ceramic business in Ireland run by Louise who was hooked on creating pottery since she was 17. Her creations use actual impressed floral details, impressed designs, and smocked fabrics. Since Jimdo is ideal for displaying portfolios, it works well with a small creative business like this one. The homepage uses a beautiful mixed layout from split-screen, to block, to grid, all for the purpose of displaying the ceramic creations in the best light possible.

The website also has an eCommerce functionality, allowing you to shop for ceramics directly from the website with no external links. Instead of search functionality, the products are packed into different categories, beautifully presented in a slider with a preview image and a CTA button.

Even if you don’t click on a specific category, the store page displays the latest creations in a grid, so you can easily look through them all. Any product page gives a high-quality gallery of the product, pricing, and availability, including how many are left in stock.

2. Hej It’s Her

Alina is a professional photographer specializing in taking powerful, confident, and authentic portraits of women. Her message is about empowering women, while her business focuses on solo self-employed people & entrepreneurs in Hamburg. Her Homepage features a small but powerful introduction with a professional photo that shows her skills. When you scroll down, you will see more Forbes-worthy photographs of women with further details explaining the service.

The Portfolio page has a short CTA button for inquiries and a beautiful magazine-style grid gallery of featured projects. You can also browse the photographs in a Lightroom gallery if you click on any photo.

3. Zaven Najjar Designer Illustrator Portfolio

Next, we have another Jimdo portfolio website of the Armenian artist Zaven Najjar based in Paris. His portfolio offers prints of his personal illustrations including a project with the Rapposters and now RapFlix’s where he expresses his love for old-school hip-hop. Aside from that project, the artist also directed the award-winning animation short film “Un Obus Partout” (“Shell All”)

The Store page packs prints from numerous projects that are available for purchase.

This is an example of a simpler and more minimalistic Jimdo template. The website belongs to Nukwami, a Rwandan-German contemporary artist who creates beautiful detailed acrylic pieces on canvas.

This is another simpler Jimdo website that follows the Less in More philosophy. The Homepage consists only of a hero section and a slogan, with a top navigation and socials. Craftmans is a trad old-school tattoo shop run by Ben Saunders, who offers his clients the whole experience: ambiance, cool music, and professional tattoos. We especially love the slogan right below the fold that states ” In God we trust, all others pay cash”.

Aside from portfolio, gallery contacts, and other essential pages, there’s also a Music page that offers an integrated Spotify playlist of the tattoo artist’s side gig band.

6. Curio Styles

Next, we have a lovely and colorful eCommerce store built on Jimdo. This business offers rings from a selection with interchangeable parts of different styles, colors, and shapes.

The Homepage has an infographic that explains how can you customize a ring from six colors per design and choose between 180 possible combinations.

Curio has an integrated shop where each product is based on the ring pattern. Once you choose the pattern you like, you can go forward and choose the color combinations for your custom ring.

7. Lunaphelia Photography

Lunaphelia is a great source of tips and tricks for anything and everything concerning photography. So if you’re an aspiring photographer or just like looking at pretty photographs, this Jimdo website has it all: a portfolio gallery and section for posing and directing models from a photographer and from a model’s point of view.

The portfolio page offers a selection of hand-picked projects, info about the photographer, and even a whole section of the gear used for creating the photoshoots.

8. Womenletics Fitness

Next, we have a fitness website example built on Jimdo. Womenletics is a virtual fitness studio with memberships. It offers online studio tickets for training strength endurance, hula hoop, Pilates, yoga, pregnancy, recovery & post-baby body, and much more.

The website has in-build eCommerce functionality where you buy the tickets but doesn’t have membership functionality. Instead, the trainer will contact you and give you access to a private Instagram account.

9. Adventure Lenses

Here we have another awesome photographer portfolio built on Jimdo. This time, the photographer focuses on outdoor and adventure photography and chooses a beautiful macro design template to present his business in simple block sections. Lars Schmucker builds his entire brand on the concept of adventure: since nature provides the most beautiful motifs, he believes you don’t have to travel far to find them. After all, almost all of his pictures were taken in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

As we established from this list, Jimdo is quite popular for photography portfolio websites, thanks to its simple and tasteful templates. Now, let’s look at an example of a wedding photographer website by Alina Atzler who wants to tell stories of love for authenticity between two people through high-quality photo sessions.

This is a very aesthetic and romantic website that aside from the portfolio, has moody featured wedding photo sessions You Are My “Why” with love stories and wedding reports.

11. Amanda Brennan Creative Producer

Amanda is an editorial director of MESH Collective and works with a young network of YouTubers to bring the interest of digital natives to the relevant issues of our time. Her website is extremely short and simple, to the point, and requires almost no effort to explore.

The portfolio page is short and sweet with a few curated film projects by Amanda from 2013 to 2018.

12. Anna Ehrenreich Aerial Artistry from Berlin

Next, we have the artistic portfolio of Anna Ehrenreich, who creates artistic performances on the trapeze, dance trapeze, and aerial silks for a wide variety of events. The homepage has a magazine-style layout and design, showcasing the different disciplines Anna creates in.

The site is divided into show acts, duo aerial artistry, and outdoor shows. Each page offers details about the discipline, videos of her performing, and a rich gallery of mid-performance photos.

Next up, we have an eCommerce website A&C that sells smartphone accessories like cases and protectors. The homepage looks like a perfect landing page that showcases the latest ultra-slim case model with details, parameters, and quality product photos.

In terms of categories, you can choose to browse A&C case, A&C glass, and A&C Edition. Each page is a separate presentation and offers the option to buy with an in-built eCommerce functionality.

14. Architect Robert Gregorini

Robert Gregorini is an Italian architect who also chose Jimdo to build his online business. He deals in particular with renovations and interior architecture and he’s also a safety coordinator. The homepage uses a mixed-grid layout to separate the different sections. We especially love the quote “Life is more important than architecture” right after the short introduction, which immediately expresses how he feels about his work.

The site has separate pages and galleries for each service with the option to contact and book the architect for your interior design project.

15. Bobsmade

Stuff that doesn’t exist, needs to be made! With a slogan like this, the art studio Bobsmande markets its brand to creative souls. The business makes custom-designed clothing and gear for clients with hand-drawn illustrations. The artist promises that if you can describe it, they can paint it on your skateboard, sneakers, t-shirts, and whatever you need to be customized.

The site itself is very colorful with hand-drawn doodles, a blog layout, and built-in e-commerce functionality.

16. Stefan Dokoupil Photographer Portfolio

Stefan Dokoupil is an art hair and fashion photographer with a magazine-style Jimdo portfolio. The site is very simple- it starts with a splash screen with a featured photograph and a CTA to enter the website, then it takes you to his portfolio that makes up the entirety of the Homepage.

To keep things as minimalist as possible, the navigation is packed inside the Menu button in the top right corner. It has links to different photoshoots, clients, contacts, and a blog dedicated to fashion photography.

17. Lachi Takayuki Illustration

Rachi Takayuki is a Tokyo-based game designer and a free-lance illustrator with a pretty good list of past clients. His Jimdo website offers a small Homepage that offers five galleries of illustrations separated into styles to show his diversity as an artist.

The site also has a blog with sketches and news related to events, inspiration, and other important pieces of Rachi Takayuki’s life as an artist.

18. Yonaha Toru Classic Musician Portfolio

And last, we have a musician website built on Jimdo. Yohana Toru is a young and talented Ryukyuan classical musician and island song singer with a long history of performing and a wealth of awards to his name. His homepage offers a glimpse into his discography, live schedule, and features in movies and news.

As with any musician’s website, this one also has the option to buy the artist’s latest music. The product page gives detailed info about the albums, the featured tracks, and the option to buy them from Amazon. This means the artist chose a portfolio template with no additional eCommerce functionality, which is also a popular practice amongst creators.
